Responsibilities:
- To prepare ingredients and food before shop open.
- Reporting to Chief chef or in case of no such position yet , manager of restaurant or the owner of the restaurant.
- To cook these ingredients based on instructions from chef or SOP (standard operating procedure)
- To wash and maintain hygiene in the kitchen. Clean tables and kitchen equipment in the morning and wash down tables in the kitchen in the evening.
- To help wash and clean utensils and kitchen cutlery at times during non critical hours.
- To clean up customer’s bowls and plates at non busy hours and during shortage of bowls and plates.
- To maintain all kitchen equipment with care in good working condition and clean the equipment correctly after every use.
- To wash the kitchen floor in the night before closure. Mop the kitchen floor between time of 2 pm to 5 pm., or at times that that are not busy with food preparation.
- To clean the refrigerators inside every Wednesday of 4th week.
- To prepare check list of foods in the fridge and stock taking of vegetables and meats, poultry and order correctly for tomorrow for the afternoon shift.
- To stock-take daily and record the ingredients and pass to front desk to order ingredients.
- To stock take fresh produce like vegetables, meats and poultry and order by phone daily for tomorrow and pass the order paper to supervisor in the front in the evening.
- To think to save company cost from reducing waste of food.
- To provide the freshest food to customers all the time.
- To identify bad food in the kitchen and report to Chef and restaurant manager or the owner of the restaurant for decision.
- To bring out kitchen trash to designated shopping centre trash bin area.
- To spray insecticides after kitchen is closed before going home for the day.
- To follow company rules and regulations at all time, new or existing it might be.
Requirement:
- Minimum 2 years working experience in an Asian kitchen.
- Minimum completed high school and understand some English or Chinese.
- Candidates must be a team player, positive attitude and contribute for the good of the company.
- Able to work on Sundays and public holidays.
Working Hour: during training: 07:00 am to 1700. And rotate shift 11:30 to 10 pm.
After training will transfer to new shop from 8am to 1700 hr and 12 noon to 10 pm.
Working Date: day off one day per week
Salary Range: $180-220 plus attendance incentive $15, 3 months probationary period
